The Story
A guy. A floor.
A walk.
Toby Jones · Australia · still walking
My name is Toby. I'm a guy who built the business, served the thousands of clients, and from the outside looked like he had the whole thing figured out.
Then my health collapsed. Guillain-Barré. Autoimmune. The certainty I'd built my identity around walked out the door, and it took most of the people I thought were in my corner with it.
I learned a few things lying on the floor. Health isn't guaranteed. Success is temporary. Relationships reveal themselves the moment life gets hard. And nobody, nobody, is coming to do the getting up for you.
The good news is you don't need them. You just need to get up. Then move. Then take a note. Then do it again tomorrow. That's the whole thing. That's the whole bloody thing.
I'm not a guru. I'm not an influencer. I'm not a monk. I'm a guy who got punched in the face by life, got back up, and started taking notes. This app is the checklist I needed in 2021. If it's useful, use it. If it isn't, close the tab and go for a walk.
// the crossover
20s were for fun.
30s were for growing up.
40s are the crossover.
The 40s are either the start of the life you settle for, or the decade where you prove to yourself what's actually possible. There is no third option.
It's the crossover point. The place where you can't keep saying "one day I'll". Where "when this happens, I'll" stops being a plan and starts being a lie you tell at dinner parties.
Kids, wives, jobs. They all matter more than you can carry without effort and structure. They start to weigh, and you forget to remember the people in your life deserve to rely on the guy who can stand tall, take charge, and win any battle a man should be ready to fight.
Not run from.
